Winning is not easy, and sometimes you will hear things that will make you stop and go hmmm!
TAKING A STAND
We make things happen. We produce results through due process. We do this by exercising you and your child's rights. Is it quick and easy, No, however, it gets results.
THE BRICK WALL. We tear it down one student at a time. This is done by educating parent's of their rights, empowering them with the state and federal regulations that protect you and your disabled
child. We play for keeps.
OUR REPUTATION SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. We have fought
and won services as small as books on tape to residential placements, many times over. We also recognize that it is not just the school districts that may be involved with a student with disabilities and their families, but also other state agencies. We have secured services from ,DDS, DMH, MassHealth, after they have said no to the parent's requests.
We also have numerous rulings and orders in our favor from the BSEA, that forced school districts to provide such things as; student records, independent evaluations, production of documents, and evaluations completed in the summer.
ARE YOU TIRED OF THE LIP SERVICE
Do you sometimes feel that your dealing with a politician? It sounds real good at the team meeting, but when you leave you realized you still got nothing. They just made it sound like you got something. Yeah, that's called the status quo and the only way to change the status quo is to force the issue.
In fact, I recently attended a team meeting, which even after I cited federal regulations and read out loud the instructions from the IEP as to how information is to be filled out in the IEP Service Delivery Page, the two principals, looked at each other and one stated to the other, "isn't this the district's practice and procedure?
They actually think they can change the laws and regulations to accommodate the school district's needs. Well, these two principals will be the first two names on the training they are about to be forced into taking this summer, and I will be provided with information that they attended, who provided the training, and the date and time of the training they are forced to take.
I've made it happen before and I am going to continue. They are not running this rodeo. You are, you just don't know it yet.
You must not think of the public schools or agencies as your friend and that if your nice you will receive your requests. Here's a question, has that worked for you so far? I'm thinking not at all.
We can change all that, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. IDEAS, is a force to be reckoned with and have built a reputation of a no nonsense approach to securing services for our clients. Call us we can help, it's a NEW DAY...
